Reuters’ 2015 best racing picts

As the “West’s” racing season comes to an end, the folks at Reuters published the sports edition of their “pictures of the year”, as its officially known. And guess what! There are three prominent pictures of motor sports featured, one in first place, albeit for the wrong reason.

Coming in at number 1 is Austin Dillon’s wreck at the finish of the Coke Zero race at the Daytona International Raceway, Daytona, July 6, 2015, which can be seen above. Courtesy of Reinhold Matay- USA Today Sports.

At number 32 is a photograph Mark J. Rebilas snapped during qualifying for the Gatornationals in Gainesville, March 14, 2015. Larry Dixon goes for a wild ride after his top fuel dragster splits in half and goes airborne; he would walk away unhurt from the crash. Courtesy of Mark J. Rebilas.
