Weird stuff that occurred during the past week:
It is not often that some folk pull out insane stuff during races. It sure as heck doesn’t happen twice in a row. During the Singapore GP Ferrari driver Sebastian Vettel radioed in that a fan was walking on the track. Sure enough, somehow a person got on the track and was walking calmly along the fencing for some time before he got out. During the last Russian GP, incredibly enough, the very same Sebastian Vettel radioed in “…we’ve got a very brave Russian running across the track”. Incredibly enough, a marshal went to retrieve a rear wing end plate that had come off Carlos Sainz Jr.’s car when he hit the wall. The marshal was almost run over by Vettel. C’mon man! The watch the video of the incident, click here.
Another crazy thing happened down under. The incident occurred during a support race for the famed Bathurst 1000 in Australia. Usually when one puts a move on a competitor, one makes sure that you have enough clearance to so do, especially if that one is your brother. One would think! Adrian Flack nudged his brother Damien Flack while they were at top speed on the fast Conrod Straight and sent him on a wild ride (watch video here). Damien’s #10 was sent flying into the air and must have flipped over at least 8 times violently before hitting a wall roof-first, flipping over the barrier and catching fire. Thanks to Adrian Damien had to be airlifted with broken ribs, a punctured lung, and family issues. Damien. C’mon man!
